Welcome to The Loft: Junior High Ministry! This is an awesome place for all 6th-8th grade students to explore and grow in their faith by connecting with God and others. We are eager to help students engage in the tough questions of life and show them that the Gospel has authentic and practical answers to our purpose in life.
We gather in the second floor of the Main Worship Center, above the foyer:
(1) Sunday Mornings: Join us at the 11:15am service. This is an excellent place to connect with other students, worship together and engage in relevant, Biblical Truth.
**On the first Sunday of each month students will join their families in the main worship service.
(2) Wednesday Nights: We connect from 7:00-8:30pm for our Small Group Ministry. These Small Groups are great places for students to go deeper in their faith, ask hard questions and grow in their friendships with one another.
(3) Monthly Events: We have monthly events that take place in our student ministry that are an awesome place for students to make memories, have fun and bring friends. Please see our calendar of upcoming events for more details.

There are some great ways to jump in and serve at Redeemer. Students can take part through our Service Day, Hands of Hope, in partnership with Hope for San Diego on July 14. Students can also volunteer to be a counselor at our Kid's Ministry Adventure Kids Camp (July 23-27).
We will continue to meet in the summer during 3rd service (at 11:15am) in the Loft on the second floor of the Main Worship Center, above the foyer. However, we will not meet on the first Sunday of every month (communion Sunday). Sunday mornings are a great place to connect and grow through worship together.
MEET OUR TEAM
Stephen Byrne - Junior High Ministry Coordinator
Hey - I’m Stephen. My wife Kari and I are San Diego natives, born and raised, and we are excited to be a part of the Redeemer family. I have been working with students for over a third of my life, and it is an amazing thing to see young people respond to the gospel and step out in faith to follow Jesus. I am a big fan of all things Disney (movies, theme parks, songs, etc.), iced coffee at all hours of the day, dodgeball, small versions of animals, music, and bacon. Please say hi when you see me, and yes, I am a hugger.
Cara Comstock - Junior High Girls Coordinator
Hi I am Cara. I am in my second year at Mira Costa Community College and I'm majoring in childhood development. I enjoy meeting new people, playing piano, going on runs, studying at coffee shops with friends and drinking tea lattes. I love talking about God’s faithfulness in my life and encouraging others in him and am excited to build relationships with and encourage the young ladies in our ministry. I am looking forward to meeting you.
