Christmas at Redeemer

Out of Darkness, Light

As we enter the season of preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ as part of the advent season, we want to look into the theme of Christ coming as light into the darkness. Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12), and comes to us as such, bringing about joy, refreshing and hope.  The great reality of this illumination is found only in the context of the darkness of our hearts and the world that is around us.  We are a people in darkness who have seen a great light in the person and work of Jesus (Isaiah 9:2).  Christmas is the season for us to anticipate this great hope.
